The largest event of its kind in the world, the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is held at WestWorld and attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators. In addition to exciting competitions, gala parties, educational seminars, family-focused events, and an international cuisine court, the event features more than 300 vendor booths, offering everything from lavish jewelry, clothing and works of art.

Free activities that cater to the
entire family include ‘Meet an Arabian Horse’, ice cream socials,
Paint-A-Pony ceramic horse painting, art contests, behind-the-scenes
barn tours, educational round pen demonstrations and much more.
Additional activities for a nominal fee will include pony-rides, petting
zoo entry and camel rides.
One of the best places in the world to see Arabians in action is in our own backyard, at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show, which will celebrate its 65th annual event at WestWorld on February 13–23, 2020. From its modest beginnings with 50 horses in 1955—on the grounds of the Arizona Biltmore Hotel—the show draws a global audience and has grown to more than 2,400 horses, 300,000 spectators, and more than $2.5 million in prize money. Famous attendees have included Steve Young, Patrick Swayze, Al Jardine, Tanya Tucker, Mike Nichols, Wayne Newton, Armand Assante, Madonna, Shakira, Bo Derrick, Shania Twain, and Charlie Watts just to name a few.
In addition to showing off the skills and beauty of about 1,000 classes of horses, this year's show will include popular additions to last year's show will be back again, including pony rides, and a petting zoo. As always, people can participate in the meet-a-horse program, sitting on an Arabian and getting a free photo taken while wearing native attire, while the behind-the-scenes barn tour gives attendees an opportunity to meet competitors and their horses.
